Playing as a guest

You can play without an account. When you do, your progress and scores are stored only in local storage on your device and are not sent to us. If you later create an account, you can choose to save that guest history to your account.

Information we collect with an account

If you create an account, we store the email address you sign up with. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address those services share with us (you can choose to hide your email with Apple, in which case we only receive a private relay address).

We store a username you choose, and your gameplay data: your game results, rank and points, streaks, and any groups you create or join. If you turn on daily reminders, we store a device notification token so we can send that reminder.

How we use it

We use this information only to run the game: to save your progress across devices, calculate your rank, show group leaderboards, and send the daily reminder if you ask us to. That is all.

What we do not do

We do not show ads. We do not use advertising or tracking identifiers. We do not use third-party analytics that profile you, and we do not track your activity across other apps or websites. We do not sell or rent your data, and we never share it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate the app: hosting and database providers that store the data described above on our behalf, Apple and Google for sign-in and for delivering push notifications, and a text-to-speech provider used to generate the pronunciation audio for words (this does not involve your personal data). These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account data only for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. That permanently removes your profile, scores, rank, streaks, group memberships, and reminder settings, and deletes any groups you created.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
